Client Success/Project Management Specialist

Are you a marketer who wants to work with other marketers? If so, then we have a great opportunity for you! Aberdeen is seeking a Best-in-Class Client Success / Project Manager to join our growing Client Success team. This role reports to the Senior Director of Client Success.

Combining project management with account management skills, you are the champion for the client. We are looking for a passionate client success manager to hit the ground running and manage a portfolio of accounts in the B2B Technology space. The Client Success / Project Manager’s main responsibility is to ensure the successful execution and delivery of marketing programs and services to our clients, while simultaneously helping them achieve their overall program goals. You are the voice of the client. The ideal person for this position gets excited about making our clients happy and wanting more from Aberdeen! 

This role has exposure to the entire Aberdeen organization – from sales to marketing to research, you’ll be the internal point of contact for your client’s programs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Serve as client liaison and main point of contact for all account projects working closely with Aberdeen’s Account Managers.
  • Ability to properly set client expectations, and coordinate external and internal resources to exceed those expectations.
  • Direct day-to-day management of customers to ensure user satisfaction resulting in net new growth opportunities and planned renewal rates.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients, helping them to become effective users of our services. You are the voice of Aberdeen to the clients, and voice of the clients in internal discussions.
  • Drive engagement and user adoption within customers on your assigned account base.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to meet key performance indicators.
  • Identify and document marketing best practices among clients, and develop content to support client success. These will be turned into case studies where appropriate.
  • Communicate any known risks or client satisfaction issues accordingly and develop plan to resolve and improve situation to client’s expectations.
  • Support sales discussions to align client needs with organization’s capabilities.
  • Deliver projects on time and forecast appropriately internally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, business or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on B2B marketing project management experience, preferably in an agency or technology/solution provider.
  • Solid understanding of B2B marketing relationships.
  • Extreme organizational skills.
  • A strong desire to develop customer relationships through education and support of our existing business.
  • Critical eye for client deliverables and the confidence to push back to ensure quality control.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced professional environment that prides itself on creating high quality content.
  • Self-motivated and a problem-solver with an eagerness for continuous improvement.
  • Must remain cool under pressure and in control, with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong project management skills coupled with a high attention to detail.
  • A proven track record of managing projects and meeting deadlines for client delivery.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including phone and written.
  • Exhibit strong business judgement, high-level of initiative, creativity and flexibility.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Holds themselves accountable for consistently exceeding results.
  • Comfortable working in a start-up, fast-paced environment.
